DANCORE was created in 2006 as a national network for coastal research under ENCORA, a 3-year EU-supported Coordination Action under the FP6. As of 1 March 2009, DANCORE now operates as the Danish branch of the Coastal & Marine Union (EUCC).
DANCORE is a national network for professionals working with issues
related to the coastal and marine environments. The purpose of the
network is to share knowledge and strengthen collaboration between
scientists, environmentalists, site managers and planners. DANCORE
currently has 245 members from a broad range of institutions, agencies,
universities and private companies.
